GURU'S Only............?
Why does the phone line go dead when I connect my VOIP ATA to my network. I have a normal modem D-Link 504T connected to a D-Link DVG2001s which is then connected to my computer. All phone ports have splitters/filters. I am able to surf the net as well as use my VOIP. The home phone does not have a tone when I pick up the phone. I have done ISO test, home phone and internet work normally without VOIP ATA. This only occurs when I connect VOIP..........any ideas. Thanks GURU'S.

Port forwarding conflict when using VOIP and router - Can I make one of them "invisible"?
I have a Linksys SPA-2102 and a Dlink DIR-615 router. The only way I have been able to get web browsing AND phone calls to work is by: --> --> --> The only issue with this is that both the VOIP box and the router are trying to assign IP's to the computers, and so far the router has been overriding everything. For example, now I can't forward any ports with this configuration. And while there is a port forwarding option in the SPA-2102, the assigned IP addresses differ from the one in the router (192.168.7.# vs. 192.168.0.#) and I have no idea how to change that. I have also tried: --> --> < PCs> But then I don't get a dial tone and can't receive any calls. So my question, is there some way to run one of these in stealth or invisible mode so that I can forward ports again? I have searched and read things about DMZ, bridging, and multi-cast threading but i dunno what would work. How do I find the static WAN ip assigned by the voip? System Status Wan Connection Type:DHCPCurrent IP:71.8.194.41 Host Name:SipuraSPACurrent Netmask:255.255.252.0Current Gateway:71.8.192.1 Primary DNS:208.77.0.11 Secondary DNS:207.200.7.21 24.217.0.5 24.217.201.67 LAN IP Address:192.168.7.1 Is it one of these?
