Why is Cricket prepaid retarded ?
So I got a xte 500 android (cheap smart phone) at cricket with a unlimited talk/text/web for approximately $62.00 a month (including taxes). This is an alleged 'no contract' plan. Well after the first month I was low on cash so my phone services deactivated until the next time I paid, exactly like a prepaid service is suppose to do. However, the next month after the one not paid, I get my paycheck and go to the cricket store to reactivate my service. I was told I owed $120 to reactivate it....wtf?! They said the extra $60 was for the previous month not paid. So wait...I'm going to pay for a month when my phone service was deactivated??? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of having the label "prepaid"? I don't understand. Every other prepaid company I used I could just pay when I wanted, hence "no contract".

what cell phone would work for my application?
I now have virgin mobile, but with dropped calls all day long, text not working, and on and on I need desperately to figure out what to do...I work off the internet all day long, to make my business thrive.
But now I am losing clients because of terrible phone service. I quit sprint because of 5 years of really, really bad reception. Then I went with cincinnati bell, but they want to renew my contract, everytime I look at a new phone. So i am trying virgin mobile, but it;s not looking good?
I live in cincinnati ohio area just across the bridge into Kentucky, so the reception should not be a problem. I truthfully only need this phone to have a good speaker for conference calls, good reception
and a decent battery life. I go on line for hours trying to figure these phones out, but now I would like to hear from some one else, that would have some knowledge as to what i am trying to accomplish.THANKS!!!
