Naming PBX jacks. I have network jacks labeled IDF-#
I currently am in the process of finishing wiring an office's PBX system. I have completed installing their Networking, and i labelled the jacks at each desk IDF-#(the number of the corresponding port on the patch panel). What naming convention is typically used when labelling ports that are for a PBX telephone system? I'm mainly trying to know the Industry Standard naming conventions, rather than Personal proprietary naming conventions, but either is fine. I want more ideas! thanks

What is the difference between an IP-Pbx telephone system and a normal PBX?
So i am looking for a telphone system for my small sized company. We need something that provides us one phone number but in case the line is busy another staff member can get the diverted call even though he/she is sitting in a completely seperate country. What are the differences between IP-PBX and normal PBX systems. We have roughly 14 employees so would need around that many phone lines of similar numbers. Thank you. How to integrate database system with pbx system?
i got a system using sql server as the backend database as well as other systems using access with forms for the front end. i want to install a pbx telephone system but want to integrate it with the database in a way that when a call comes in it triggers the database and brings up the user information... is it possible? and how can it be implemented. any reference to software, books etc will be a help, thanks..
